Vacataire teachers at Supelec before 2004 have no contract(so an implicit CDI?). Teachers hired after 2004 are required to sign a CDD at the beginning of each school year. Teachers are paid monthly, declared as non-cadres, their payslip showing their entry into the school at the beginning of the present school year (even if they have been there for 20 years...).  Teachers are paid monthly after the second month of teaching with great regularity, the gross hourly rate is €61.60. Most of the classrooms are equipped with multi-zone DVD players, VHS and video-projectors (the language dept has laptop computers and a multi-media lab with 8 internet stations equipped with webcams, as well as 4 language labs for 20 students.) Teachers may eat at the CROUS restaurant, have unlimited access to a photocopier to make their own copies and also have access to the school's photocopy service. They are also able to park in the school's parking lot and use faculty restroom facilities. They have access to the school's wireless network upon request.
